Anna Clyne

Featured Composer

Composer Anna Clyne in beige jacket and black hat at a crossing.

Born in London and based in New York, Anna Clyne is a GRAMMY-nominated composer of acoustic and electro-acoustic music. Described as a “composer of uncommon gifts” by The New York Times, Clyne is one of the most acclaimed and in-demand composers of her generation. Her music is often inspired by dance, painting, film or poetry.

We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Anna as our Featured Composer this season. You can hear her music in four of our Royal Festival Hall concerts, and she has curated two fascinating free Music of Today programmes too, featuring her music alongside that of six other women composers well worth discovering.

For a taste of Anna’s music, listen to Within Her Arms, an elegy to her mother, on our YouTube channel.
