He now spends his musical life devoted to a range of disciplines ranging from orchestral work and historical performance on the natural trumpet to new music and chamber music with his brass septet Berkeley Brass.
Tom has served as guest principal trumpet with Burghclere Baroque and La Musica Nuova, and a recent career highlight of Tom’s was performing as part of the 2024 BBC Proms season as principal trumpet while on trial with the Ulster Orchestra, which was also broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.
When he’s able, Tom enjoys spending his free time reading, kayaking and sampling new coffee shops.
